The Latest Generation of Far Infrared Portable Saunas with Advanced Features The advantages of the Far Infrared, FIR sauna over a conventional sauna. A conventional sauna heats the air in the chamber to a very high temperature, which in turn heats the surface of the skin. You are also forced to inhale super-heated air in a conventional sauna. A FIR sauna works differently. Neither oxygen molecules nor nitrogen molecules in the air can block FIR wavelengths. The correct FIR wavelengths penetrate up to 2 or 3 inches directly onto our body, safely - just like the warm rays of the sun. This makes us feel comfortably warm without the burning sensation of overly hot convective air in conventional saunas, and yet we perspire profusely. Many toxins accumulate in the fatty tissues below the skin where the FIR rays can penetrate and mobilize these toxins for elimination either by sweating, or by urine and bowel elimination. |
